Geoffrey Smith - Eskdale, The Lake District, 1963
On 14th October 10 males of various ages and back grounds were placed together and over the duration of the course gelled to a very good team. The various expeditions developed skills that could be put to use at some time be it on holiday etc. Climbing skills learnt came into use when a 4 storey building barrow hoist cable became snagged and required fixing. Most memorable event was the talk given by Sir John Hunt.
