Graham Tobinson - Aberdovey, Wales, 1964
Selected from my school to attend Aberdovey Outward Bound Seaschool as they knew I intended to join the navy when leaving school. I was fifteen. Which I did 18 months later.
My recurring memory of the time spent at Aberdovey was the day we climbed Cader Idris. Leaving the cabin when it was still dark (this was January) climbing in the mist / fog. Before long there was snow on the ground.
By the time we returned to the cabin it was dark again. We had not seen the sun all day.
