Michael Lewis - Aberdovey, Wales, 1957

As a 16 year old London lad the Outward Bound adventure was a wonderful event and the whole course is a treasured memory. My logbook and results report has survived intact and is a detailed reminder of everything that occurred. To achieve Merit One overall and Honors in Athletics fills me with pride given my lowly beginnings(a long story not for telling).
I was sponsored by my school to take part, my divorced parents would not have been able to finance me, and I count myself fortunate to have participated.
