Michelle Roberts - Ullswater, The Lake District, 1977

I was visiting Ullswater in I believe 1977 to drop off my elder brother on a course - somehow the Wing Commander persuaded my parents to let me stay as well. At this time Ullswater did not take girls - he soon found another family with a daughter who was heading to Tywyn. She too was persuaded to stay and hence we were the first 2 girls to stay at Ullswater. We had a temporary dorm in the sick bay! I think her name was Alison Corrie. I have some pictures and certificates stored away which I will find and send through. I loved the experience and subsequently attended 2 further courses in Rhowniar the last being in 1981.
