Phil Mayberry - Devon on Ashburton, 1967
I attended a course at the Outward Bound course in Devon 1967.
My employer then was the 'Department of the Environment' and they trawled for young men/youths to put themselves forward for selection. I was chosen from over 200 applicants after interview in the DoE HQ London.
I have very enjoyable memories climbing, caving and walking - the last walk was over two days from Tintagel to Holne Park . The experience was something I will never forget and it helped me with my career in the Civil Service and my personal life (determination). I am now retired and I still have my badge which I am extremely proud of.
