I was not aware at the time of the profound effect my time at Aberdovey would have on the rest of my life .
Suffice to say that by Nov 1968 i would by an electrical officer on board Oriana on a 5 month journey around the world.
By Sept 1969 i would be living in Perth Western Australia (6 years)
By 1976 back in uk working as Electrical Supervisor for Kensington council,by 1979 lead elect eng building a Desulpherising plant at Ravenscraig Scotland.
During 1980s lived Thailand 8 month building coal mills and cement factories and India 1 year building cement factory
for major construction company based in Germany .
My point about the profound effect is the association with a collection of completely different people and group leaders (with incredible drive and passion} to succeed and be the best you can be .
The has helped a secondary modern schoolboy from Chipping Sodbury to be a modest achiever
