Facilities Technician

Location: Outward Bound Ullswater and Howtown centres
Salary: £23,400 - £27,300 p.a. (starting salary dependent on qualifications and experience).
Contract: 37.5 hours a week. Part-time will be considered.
Reporting to: Head of Facilities

The job

Our facilities technician needs to be organised and be able to develop and maintain good working relationships. In this busy role you will:

• Be part of a small team who make sure our Ullswater and Howtown centres run safely.
• Work outside and inside, maintaining our buildings, grounds, vehicles and boats.
• Make things, fix things and keep things going.
• Support our courses with a professional equipment stores system, and transport young people out to their adventures by minibus and boat.
• Have a critical eye for safety to ensure we deliver a safe learning environment for young people.

You'll need

• General maintenance skills knowledge and experience (essential). LANTRA awards, trade person qualifications and health and safety qualifications are all desirable.
• A full driving licence (essential). Having or being willing to get a D1 entitlement is desirable.
• Experience with Microsoft Office programmes (email and Excel) is desirable.
